Do The Watusi!!

It's that time of year again!  Time to dance!

"What?", you may ask.  "How can late January with its cold temperatures, grey skies and piles of snow be the time to dance??"

And, I will say to you,".What better way to get up off the couch and lift your spirits than to dance!!!!"

I started Salsa classes this week. I had been looking for a recession-proof aka low priced dance class, to get me out of the house after the sun goes down (anytime after 5pm these days!) and would allow me to express my innate rhythm.  Yes, folks, I am a white girl with rhythm.  I have always loved to dance and I am quick to jump up onto any dance floor and boogie!

Unfortunately I have had less and less chance to cha cha cha.  High school was the epitome of dance fever and the opportunities to do the watusi have been declining ever since.  In fact, now I find that I'm lucky to go to even one or two dance parties a year.  And, that's just not enough for a dancing fool like me.  So, my solution has been to take dance classes.

After only one salsa class, I am crazy about the teacher and feel that salsa is a dance I can really relate to - fast, latin, sexy, with a strong beat.  Just my kind of thing!

So yes, it's January - and time to get up and dance!!!!

Reat Estate Hint #27 Rentals.  Like many realtors, I handle a few rental customers a year.  Rentals pay very little and they are more litigious than sales so some realtors don't handle rentals at all.  I handle rentals for friends.  I also will on occasion handle rentals for very strong candidates who seem serious and will not waste too much of my time.  Once I take on a rental customer I will work diligently to find them an appropriate home, but I want to work quickly and efficiently so that any rental business doesn't take too much time away from my sales business.  My advice to potential rental customers is to make sure you are dealing with a broker with experience in rentals. They are a horse of a different color than sales and it is crucial that the realtor know what they are doing.

Peggy, I can just picture you on the dance floor, wearing something fun and making your hot moves! I love to dance, also, and you're right: there's not nearly enough opportunities. Maybe you can show me some salsa steps, and we can get to the Thursday night salsa at one of the Cambridge clubs.

Erin, I'm impressed that you know about the Thursday night salsa dances in Cambridge.  I have always wanted to go, but didn't have anyone to go with.  Maybe when the weather gets a little warmer and my salsa gets a little better we can head in.  Too bad that you are not taking salsa with me.  Ay caramba!!!
