September blues - this is a tough couple of weeks for me.  From the last week of August through the first week of September I have the blues, the big bad blues!  Every year at this time I go into a melancholy depression.  Summer is over and it's only hard times and cold weather ahead.  I'm not even in school and I get the back-to-school blues, the end of warm weather blues, the time to do something constructive blues.  I put away the beach bag, the beach chair, the suntan lotion.  I put away summer and want to cry!


Real Estate Hint #17 - September is the time when people get motivated to make a change in their lives.  The real estate market always sees a boost of activity in the early fall.  All those buyers who spent their weekends at the beach, now come out to Sunday open houses.  Sellers who didn't put their houses on the market in the spring, want For Sale signs in their yard before the snow comes.  It's a great time to look at houses - not too cold, not too hot - just right!  So, brokers gear themselves up for September and will work hard for their clients to get them in or out of their houses before those white flakes start to fall!
